Security App Sends Picture Of The Thief Who Took Your iPhone

I think a lot of you will agree with me when I say that one of the worst things that can get stolen from us is our iPhone. It has happened to so many of my friends that I almost think it has happened to everyone. The feeling of losing it is not the worst feeling, but it is still a gut-wrenching notion that someone could be accessing your personal information, photos and videos. Today we can access pretty much everything on our smartphones, and if the wrong person gets his or her hands on it, you will probably be looking at no less than hell before everything is back to normal again. In most cases, the perpetrator isn’t ever caught either. There a solution to all this madness in the form of a security app most people don’t know about.

It’s called iGotYa, and it is a jailbreak application that will send a picture to your email address every time someone inserts the wrong passcode and tries to login to your iPhone. Not only is this security app a super useful way to catch the thief who stole your iPhone, but it will also generate some pretty funny pictures of yourself grinning badly as you attempt to login to your phone with the wrong passcode. Soon enough you will have a whole folder full of Facebook material to upload generated by this security app. That’s a feature in itself, right?

As you might have read, it’s a jailbreak app which mean you will have to jailbreak your iPhone. I don’t understand why someone couldn’t create a security app like this one which would be available to everyone since this could prevent a ton of iPhones from being stolen. It most likely has to do with privacy and all that jazz. However, if someone steals your iPhone, isn’t it about right that you have a security app on there that will enable you to get it back? Well, in a logical world that would be the way to go, but I guess that’s not how the world turns, if you know what I mean. However, if you have jailbroken your iPhone, you can download the iGotYa jailbreak security app from the iGotYa website.
