Army Helmets: Their New And Fun Recycled Purpose!

I am one of those people who is heavily against any form of war and conflict. It breaks my heart when a small group of people, apparently driven by greed and power, destroy life for the rest of us on this beautiful planet we get to enjoy for a brief moment in time. I often find myself quoting Jodie Foster (Eleanor Arroway) in the movie Contact from back in 1997 in response to David Drumlin‘s statement:

I know you must think this is all very unfair. Maybe that’s an understatement. What you don’t know is I agree. I wish the world was a place where fair was the bottom line, where the kind of idealism you showed at the hearing was rewarded, not taken advantage of. Unfortunately, we don’t live in that world.

Eleanor Arroway – “Funny, I’ve always believed that the world is what we make of it.

I don’t think anyone would disagree with me when I say that we should start recycling the tools of war and think more like this artist, Fred Colon. We could make some cool artsy objects from it all and call it even. I mean, who could avoid the cuteness of these recycled army helmets created into cute animals? Put them in your garden and watch them all degrade together with the memories of war. Stop the madness!

Get your fix and buy some of these helmets over at Fred Colon’s shop: Here
