Circuit Board Seating: No Geek Is Complete Without It

The circuit board design era has officially begun it seems. There are more and more designs consisting of old circuit boards that are used to grace the exterior of the design. People find them as appealing as ever. Why is that? Could it be the sophisticated look and feel of it that makes our imagination run wild with inspiration to play interior designer whenever we stumble upon it? Yesterday there was a piece about Circuit Board Inspired Designs. There were quite a few in there that were nothing less than awesome. However, there was one that I really missed in there, and that was of course the geekiest circuit board design of them all. Or, let me rephrase that for you. Without it, you are not a complete geek, and you should not consider yourself to be one either.

I am of course talking about the geek chair where the circuit board is the main theme. Designer Benjamin Rollins Caldwell cooked up a rather interesting idea about reusing circuit boards for chairs. They are called “Binary Seating,” and they come in three different designs. Whatever you require, you can be sure to find in at least one of these three designs. They might look a little bit uncomfortable, but hey, being a geek has never been easy so suck it up will ya?

The circuit board inspired stuff is cool on many levels, but the coolest part surely has to be that they are recycled. They are not thrown away like some second grade t-shirt. As you all know, I am kind of a twilight recycler and always try to do my part to make sure the geeky recycling topics get their share exposure here at Bit Rebels. I would absolutely not consider myself a Green Peace fanatic, but I reckon it’s not a bad idea to be one… well, to care. Recycling is just good… period!
