Vinyl records are just a tad before my time. I had a few of them when I was very young, but for most of my childhood, it was the cassette era. I have a lot of friends; however, that collect old records. Apparently they can be very sentimental and bring back wonderful memories.
My favorite part of those old albums has always been the artwork on the covers. I wrote an article about some very sweet retro record cover art here.
However, what if you want to do something useful with your records instead of letting them collect dust in a box in the attic? What if you want to create something with them that you can enjoy everyday? You could always do what Estonian designer Pavel Sidorenko did. He sculpted these records into clocks. Very nice Pavel!
