Dice Sculptures That Will Alter Your Reality

I was recently renting a movie, and I started talking to the guy at the counter about old school thriller movies. He had some rather interesting information about the ’80s role playing game Shock and the connection it has to the movie 1406. That story that Stephen King wrote, which became the movie starring Samuel L. Jackson and John Cusack, is actually an adaptation of a short adventure in the Shock role playing game. Yeah, I know, it is weird and quite possibly uninteresting information, but the fact is that Stephen King even mentioned it during an interview where he was excitedly talking about the role playing games fr0m his younger years.

When talking about the role playing game Dungeons & Dragons, everyone who has ever played it knows that you use quite a lot of different dice when going through your adventures. This article is not at all about that, unfortunately, but it’s about the amazing dice sculptures created by Tony Cragg. I am sure you have at some point in your life played with a couple of dice and stacked them on each other just for fun. It’s just one of those things that people seem to do when they have access to these things.

Well, the stuff that Mr. Cragg does with dice is somewhat like that but on an entirely different scale. Not only does he stack them, but he creates huge and quite mesmerizing sculptures out of hundreds of thousands of them. He glues them together, and the end result is breathtaking in every sense. Just have a look at these sculptures and tell me you are not impressed by the awesomeness. They are insane! Imagine how long they must have taken to create. I am still trying to figure out just how he came up with those forms and shapes before he started adding dice to them. This is for sure awesomeness defined!
