Extraordinary Guitar Sculptures Rock The World Even Harder

We have seen some amazing instruments created from all kinds of stuff here. We’ve featured everything from a Millennium Falcon guitar to a Nintendo NES Harmonica (or whatever you want to call it). They are all uber creative, and I can almost say that I would totally pick one of those over an ordinary guitar any day of the week. However, it is when real instruments are modified and created into something completely different that the real creativity comes out and shows itself. Some people actually go out of their way to make things that no one has ever seen before, and those are the things that we get a buzz out of when we feature them.

This time around, I have found something that will probably make a lot of musicians quite angry. Well, even though I understand the concept of creating the artwork that Yoshihiko Satoh has been working on for quite some time, I still feel a little bit sad seeing so many perfectly awesome instruments being used for something that will make them unable to be played ever again. What Mr. Satoh has been working on is actually some rather extraordinary guitar sculptures that will put your sense of normal on a pivoted angle.

Mr. Satoh seamlessly interconnected up to 12 guitars to form a series of different yet awesome sculptures. Yes, I say awesome because even though they are destroyed forever, they make a pretty awesome display. I remember in the ’80s when rock bands started making “dual guitars” (is that what they are called?), and they started rockin’ out in badass style. I even think one band went as far as to build a guitar out of three guitars. You can never get too much awesomeness, right? Well, there should really be cowbell there, but I feel that joke has been used too much already.
