There you are, sipping your coffee, browsing the Internet, and looking for a quick little dash of entertainment. Maybe you found this link on on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ or maybe you found it on a random Google search. Regardless, I’ve got just what you’re looking for.
These images have been circulating the Internet for a few months, so if you’ve seen them before, you aren’t allowed to play the game. I know… Boooooo. Assuming you haven’t seen them, take a close look at these pictures. Look very, very carefully at each one. What do you think you are looking at? Obviously it’s not planets or moons, that would be too easy, right? Hmm…
While you’re trying to figure it out, I’ll tell you about the photographer, but you can’t look him up on Google or click on the link just yet because that would be cheating. His name is Christopher Jonassen, and this series of photographs is called Devour. Christopher said, “Devour is a poetic comment on the downfall of the world as we know it. The photographs investigate a series of used [fill in the blank] and the wear and tear they have encountered over the course of their lives.” Have you figured it out yet?
If you guessed correctly, please let us know in the comments. You get the gold star for the day! I’ll give you one last hint. It’s something most people store in their kitchen, and it’s simply photographed with a black background. [Scroll to the bottom for the answer.]
