I’ve gone through a lot of changes in my in the past few years, and if you’ve also felt yourself grow and stretch, you’ve probably noticed a longing to be closer to nature. It’s an interesting thing when that happens, but one clue that we are developing as a person and changing is that we have a craving to be near nature. You can read more about that in an article I wrote back in 2009 called 10 Signs Change Is Happening In Your Life.
With that being said, I like to bring a little nature to Bit Rebels whenever I can. Recently I wrote about these very inspiring rock sculptures that almost look like an optical illusion. I also wrote about these pixilated birdhouses where the geeky birds choose to live. My favorite article though is this one called 12 Bird Nests In Unusual Places. Those birds are so special.
Today I’m writing about a collection of letters and numbers that are also birdhouses. It’s a series called “Living Typography” by artist Nishant Jethi. Since there has been a decline in sparrows over the past decade as urban development continues, he created these houses to offer the sparrows a new place to live. They ca be combined to create words, or used individually on a tree or awning. It’s such a simple idea that brings a little typography to nature. Love it!
