Miniature Dollhouse Built Inside An Acoustic Guitar

I don’t know what it is lately, but there seem to be a lot of insanely creative dollhouses being shared online, and each one is as unique as the next. About two months ago, we featured an Edible Dollhouse Closet with edible clothes on edible hangers and an iPad incorporated to assist with shopping. Then we featured the Hobbit Dollhouse, which was so detailed it was almost unbelievable. Today I’d like to share with you another very special dollhouse. This is a miniature dollhouse built inside an acoustic guitar. Yes, you read that right, INSIDE the guitar.

Lorraine Robinson wanted to create something special for her daughter Cathryn who was turning 25-years-old. Since her daughter was about to leave to attend college, her mom decided to take her childhood guitar, create a dollhouse inside, and include all kinds of study related miniature things.

The detail in this miniature dollhouse is truly exquisite. The tiny furniture and lampshades are covered in music notes, the tiny pens on the tiny desk are created from toothpicks, and there is even a miniature family portrait hanging on the wall inside the miniature dollhouse. The bedroom in the dollhouse was created to look like Cathryn’s real bedroom, and there are even tiny maps since Cathryn loves to travel.

Lorraine, who makes tiny things all day long for Fairy Meadow Miniatures, worked on her daughters dollhouse 5-10 hours a day for two weeks. If she had made this for a customer, it would have cost around $1,500. This blows me away, and Lorraine must be one of the best miniature dollhouse makers in Australia. This is truly one of the most special gifts a mother could give a daughter, and I’m sure Cathryn will treasure it for her whole life.
