It seems many artists are inspired by Facebook photos. We’ve seen lots of different creative variations for how they can be used as artistic centerpieces. I think my favorite is this artist who wove together hundreds of Facebook photos to create Thousands Of Memories Mashed Into One. Today I’d like to share with you a more cheeky lighthearted way to illustrate Facebook photos.
Adam Ellis is kinda known as a dickhead. As a matter of fact, his Twitter username is @moby_dickhead. His bio is “Comics blogger and all around jerk. Just kidding. Maybe.” He’s the only person I’ve seen who can draw unflattering pictures of people and make money from it. When Adam is bored, he just goes through the photos he sees in his Facebook stream, chooses his favorite ones, and draws them.
This series of illustrations, called Never Be My Friend, is actually really funny. I mean, I would never friend this guy on Facebook. I’m not brave enough to endure the “creative license” he takes, but hey, I’m perfectly happy giggling at these other people’s misfortune. Hmm… That didn’t come out exactly right, but you get the idea. If you would like him to draw you, you can go here and pay $25 bucks for a picture of you or $35 bucks for a picture of you and your friends. Nice job Adam!
