Photoshop | 3D Film Strip Effect

It wasn’t long ago that Photoshop introduced the ability to create 3D effects in a more intuitive way. The result can be more than stunning if you know what you are doing. However, the tool is not always simple to use and can feel quite advanced at times and this is why we don’t see more Photoshop tutorials dealing with this great tool. Even if you are not using this impact tool you can till create stunning and eye catching 3D effects with a little bit of work and dedication.

Creating a 3D film strip can truly have a great visible impact on your site or your cover design. Choosing the images going inside the strip is probably of the same importance as the execution of the tutorial itself. The more eye catching your images are the more visibly impressive it will become. So, when choosing your images make sure you pick pictures that really catches the viewers eyes and imagination.

In just a few steps here you will be able to create a really cool 3D film strip image that is fully accompanied with a shadow and all. It might take you a while to master the effects in this tutorial but when you do you will find that you will be able to apply them to pretty much everything you are doing in your daily work as a designer. So, work on your skills and make sure you turn the tools inside and out in order to really know their limits and power. Enjoy!
