Raw Meat Gun Designs (Good Enough To Eat)

As I’ve written before, I grew up with guns. I lived in the deep south for many years, and out in the country, owning a gun is as popular as owning a pickup truck. I even have a few guns registered to me now (a 380 Colt, which is retro and not made anymore, and a rifle). I’ve been to the gun range to practice too many times to count, and I know about gun safety inside and out.

There is a ton of really interesting gun artwork from very creative designers on the Internet, and I used to feature it often. Then, about a year ago, a very dear friend of mine lost her fiancé as a result of a gunshot. If you follow us on Twitter or Facebook, you probably know whom I’m talking about and what happened.

Ever since then, I stopped writing about guns. My attitude about them changed a bit, and I haven’t written about any gun art ever since. However, when I saw these meaty guns, I couldn’t resist. They’re just so… disgusting, but I can’t look away from them. It’s strange. I love meat, but this is going to make me not want to eat it all week. Artist Dimitri Tsykalov says it “demonstrates the brutality, and the simplicity, of a the gun.” It’s gross, but in an artistic kind of way. All I can say is, pass me the hand sanitizer.
