I didn’t realize until today how many people are inspired by skulls. It’s kinda strange when you think about it, I mean, what exactly is it that draws people to create things that look like skulls? I don’t know the answer to this question, but I do know that some of the skull creations we’ve seen are fabulous.
Just a few of my favorites are the steampunk skull, the wicked looking skull doorbell, the skateboard skulls, and of course, my all time favorite, the skull made out of McDonald’s french fries. Today I have another very interesting skull design to add to the list. It’s a skull made out of cold hard cash.
This fantastic cash skull was created by Scott Campbell, the famous tattoo artist. This isn’t Scott’s first experience in creating art with money. You can also check his homage to strippers on The Art Of Making It Rain Dollar Bills. Ok, maybe he’s not actually honoring strippers, but that is what I always think of when I see that collection. This is a skull he created with eleven thousand dollars worth of uncut sheets of dollar bills given to him from the U.S. Mint. He once again used a laser to etch the lines just right. It is currently on sale for $50,000. Wow, nice profit margin there!
