We’ve seen a lot of coffee machines come and go over the years that claim to be able to recreate a Starbucks experience at home, but none of them have really been able to fill those shoes, at least for me. Making coffee at home is a big endeavor. You have to grind the beans, wait for the coffee to brew, have the right condiments on hand, and clean the pot afterwards. Even at $3.85 for a tall Caramel Macchiato, Starbucks is still a really appealing option to me.
However, if I had this coffee machine at home, things might be different. It’s the first one I’ve seen that truly takes coffee brewing at home to the next level. You are probably wondering why I call it magical. It’s because it makes a cup of coffee in 15 seconds (25 seconds for a shot of espresso), it comes out of a faucet (like water) and it automatically cleans itself after each use. The main part of the brewer is stored underneath the counter to reduce countertop clutter.
And, I saved the best feature for last… When you are ready for a cup of coffee in the morning, you just roll over in bed, grab your iPhone, and use the app to trigger your coffee machine to start. No more fumbling around with settings or the timer on the pot itself while trying to guess when you want your coffee in the morning. Whoa! It’s also manufactured with recyclable materials. It almost sounds too good to be true, right? If it was April 1st, I would be wondering if this was some kind of April Fools joke. As far as I can tell, it’s for real. It’s called a TopBrewer, and you can read more about it on the company website at Scanomat TopBrewer. Those little hourglass shaped cups they used in the ad are a nice touch. Cute.
