Created by French sculptor Pierre Vivant, this traffic light tree is positioned near Canary Wharf. It stands eight meters tall and is made from 75 sets of lights. A computer individually controls each traffic light. This sculpture represents the combination of nature and industry in that busy financial district.
Of course, there are those party poopers on the Internet that insist, “This is dangerous because it could cause a traffic accident.” I can promise you, if I saw this structure of lights, I would know it wasn’t an ordinary traffic light and I would drive accordingly.
