There are some people in the world who don’t like coffee. I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s true. My best friend doesn’t like coffee, and to this day, I can’t understand a logical reason why. It’s just so decadent and delightful, especially first thing in the morning. To me, drinking a Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks is better than eating dessert, and I could sip on one all day long. It’s like a liquid candy bar, and it’s ohhhhh so good. This article is for all my fellow coffee fans who love drinking coffee, and I hope you like it.
Steven Weinberg, who must also treasure drinking coffee, created these brilliant little illustrations with watercolor. The collection is called Important People Drinking Coffee, and it’s a playful interpretation of important people (and a dog, Frosty the snowman, Cookie Monster and a dinosaur) drinking coffee. I didn’t include them all, so you can click over to Steven’s article if you want to see more.
It’s interesting to see who he chose to paint drinking coffee. It makes me think of a whole list of other people from history that would be fun to see created in watercolor with a cup of coffee. These are very simple paintings that will surely please the coffee lover in you. Painting in watercolor seems delicate and fragile to me compared to other mediums, and these are so well done. Steven is selling these watercolor prints for $80 each. The Jesus one, which is bigger than the rest, costs a little more. You can click over to his site for more info about that. If you want to see more artistic watercolor loveliness, take a look at the Watercolor iPhone Case and the Playing Cards Created With Watercolor & Pencil. These all kinda make you want to get out your watercolor set so you can paint, right?
