When The Avengers Go Winnie The Pooh Style

It is once again time to turn our perception of a franchise upside down. It’s when we expect the unexpected that the world gets just a little bit easier to live in, so I thought I’d switch it up a little today. It’s really interesting that some of the most popular books, when we were younger, are still the most popular today. If anything, that speaks volumes about the way the author was able to identify with the very essence of what completely draws us into the story of a book. Even though some of these books are the most popular children’s books today as well, comics have had a huge increase in sales. With the wave of superhero movies being constantly released, it shouldn’t be too hard to understand what kids today are interested in reading about.

So what could possibly be better then than either of these franchises? Well, if we were to mash them together, surely we would get a concept that was beyond the scope of awesomeness. That is exactly what illustrator Charles Paul Wilson III did, and with a stunning result as well. He figured that the most popular comic characters today were the Avengers, and mashing that together with yesterday’s popular characters in Winnie The Pooh would definitely be a winning concept. And boy was he right!

The illustrations that he managed to put together with the Hulk being Winnie The Pooh and the rest are just amazingly funny and cute. I would definitely want to read a book with these characters if I were younger. Even now I am intrigued to check out what kind of story Charles could have possibly put together. There is no end to what you can cross in order to get an even more ultimate story book, right? I doubt we will see a full length book with this concept in the future though, but I am satisfied with just looking at these awesome creations. Hopefully Charles will not stop here, but he will continue to create mesmerizing illustrations that combine the Avengers with Winnie The Pooh. I guess it’s safe to say that the Hundred Acre Wood will never be the same again.
