1. The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

The Legend of Zelda is one of the most popular video game franchises in the world. The latest entry in the series Breath of the Wild is probably the best of them all.  It’s an action-adventure game that was released in 2017 and received praise from everyone who had a chance to play it. Considering that the game was the highest-rated title of 2017 says a lot about its quality. A definite must-have in your Nintendo Switch games collection.

2. Super Mario Odyssey

Super Mario is a gaming icon that has many various niche genre games under its belt. However, its roots are in platforming. The latest, Super Mario Odyssey was released in 2017 and reintroduced our beloved character to the genre, offering a variety of changes with a mission to appeal to the serie’s core fans.

However, Super Mario Odyssey quickly became popular among other gamers who called it the best Super Mario game in the entire history. We can’t really argue with that because it’s one of the best Nintendo Switch games released.

3. Super Mario Party

As the name of the game states – this is a great game if you want to play something during a party. Essentially, Super Mario Party is a collection of various fun mini-games that are worth your while. Some of the games are super casual, while others are a bit more demanding gameplay-wise. As with all party games, this one is designed to play with a group of friends.

4. Splatoon 2

There are not many Nintendo Switch games that can be considered as a proper representative of the shooter genre. However, Splatoon 2 is a great exception with tons to offer for any fan of shooter games.

It is a sequel to the first Splatoon game featuring story-driven single-player mode and incredibly fun multiplayer. It has an engaging and unique mechanics where players have to paint the battlefield in order to win.

5. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

To wrap our list we’ve included the iconic Nintendo fighting game series and its latest installment Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The game features characters from all the Nintendo Switch games, has plenty of various fun games modes and so on.

It’s also worth mentioning that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is super friendly to beginners and is a suitable pick for a family brawl in front of a console. However, while it’s easy to pick up and play, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is hard to master.
