It’s amazing how addicting gaming can become if you’re not careful. We’ve seen it most recently on Facebook where more and more people are investing real money and insane amounts of time updating and taking care of their Facebook games. I don’t know how many times I have seen it in the news lately that people have lost their jobs or relationships due to their fanatic gaming. So where could gaming go next? What could be an uncharted territory to enter for companies such as Microsoft, Sony or any other developer? If I knew the answer to that question, I would be a rather rich boy right now, but there are companies that truly are doing things a little bit differently.
In Japan, the legendary SEGA company introduced their latest gaming device. Even if you had the most vivid imagination, I am sure you would never be able to predict what they announced. To them, the market of urinal gaming is a market as good as any, and they displayed their creation at a recent technology event. The game itself isn’t that hard, at least if you have some “control” over what you are doing.
All you have to do is to target a spot on the urinal when urinating and a score high enough to get onto the high score board. The “player” will have an LCD screen in front of him where he will be able to see things updated in real time. At the end of your “battle,” there will be a high score presented to you in the amount you urinated. I must say, there are truly games for everything. I guess adding one of these in the men’s room in any bar will radically increase the purchases of beer. After all, who doesn’t want to be the best. #JustSaying
