All Featured R2-D2 Lego Build Is A Pure Wonder

By now we should all be used to seeing Star Wars stuff featured in all different shapes and forms. Being surprised is no longer on our list of emotions. Well, it actually happens once in a while that we find something that is really out of the ordinary, and of course, that is when we jump on it like it was a fresh cake right out of the oven. When you start to think about why Star Wars fans have become such a lively community, and why so many people idolize the movies, it’s not too hard to understand. After all, the movies spawned a long and intricate technology streak of innovation and development that we still haven’t seen the end of today.

However, that’s not what usually catches our eye. Instead, it’s the awesomeness of people sitting in their dark rooms tinkering that we notice. They are the people who sit with an idea for days, slowly puzzling it together in their garage or their bedroom, trying desperately to get as close to the image in their imagination as possible. One of those people is Peter “Ickelpete” Salter, a skillful Lego tinkerer. What he has put together will most likely spawn a whole army of R2-D2 robots running around in people’s houses.

Ickelpete put on block after block until an R2-D2 robot was born that was so intricate that if it was just a little taller in size, you would actually think it was the real deal. His Lego build R2-D2 is not your average statue build, it’s actually far from it. The only thing this little badboy can’t do is project a hologram on your desk. Other than that, it can pretty much do anything that the real R2-D2 can. It lights up and makes the legendary bleep sounds. The top dome rotates, and it can even extend the front leg and drive backwards and forwards. I would easily say that this one is even better than the one in the Star Wars movies except that one had Kenny Baker in it. Props!
