We’ve featured so much over-the-top, fabulous cosplay (for people and animals) over the past year here on Bit Rebels that now when I see it; it has to be really special for me to really notice it. Cosplay these days is getting sexier and sleeker, but my favorite one so far is still the “They Live” cosplay. After all, geekiness far outweighs sexiness in my mind.
Today I’d like to share with you some cosplay that is ridiculously simple yet brilliant on a whole different level. Do you remember watching The Flintstones? The original cartoons aired before I was born, but back in the ’90s, they started airing those old episodes again. That lasted for a few years, and then it stopped for the most part. If you are a Flintstones fan, and if you live in the States, you might be happy to know that Cartoon Network just started re-airing the series again on January 2, 2012.
I don’t know if this cosplay was inspired by the revival of The Flintstones, or if it’s just a couple of fans having a good time, but I love these pictures! Meet the modern day Betty and Wilma. Wilma was always my favorite on that show, probably because she looked like she had a one-inch waist. These two cosplayers are deviantARTists Rekuuu and Yorkie14. The photographs were taken by deviantARTists csepi and civic97. These are great! Now I wish we could see a Fred and Barney, and maybe even a Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm (yeah, there is baby cosplay out there too, just do a google search for it, it’s as cute as can be).
