I grew up watching Miss Piggy on television, and to this day, I think she’s so much fun. I got to see her in person back in October. I’m not ashamed to say I was right there with all the little kids cheering when she came out on stage at an event in Atlanta. Here on Bit Rebels, we’ve written about Miss Piggy looking grossly bloody (as a zombie), and we’ve featured her looking super fabulous (in a sexy photo shoot). Today it’s not just about Miss Piggy though, but 10 of those classic Muppets we all love.
These adorable knitted and crocheted hats were created by Annie at wattlebird. Each one is as precious as the next, but here’s the crazy thing. She didn’t use a pattern, stencil or any guide. She simply just started creating, and this collection of 10 Muppet hats was the result. She’s not selling these, although I’m sure if she did, they’d already be sold out.
You can read her post, Muppet Hats, if you’d like to get the scoop on each individual hat and how she made it. Since I’m not much of a knitter, it was fascinating to read. I’m so impressed. I have no idea how a ball of yarn can end up looking like this. What talent! Which one is your favorite? Mine is of course Miss Piggy. It’s even attached to a wig. If you’d like to read more about the Muppets, there is a great Tribute to Jim Henson over on MMM.
