Geeks vs. Nerds: The Anatomy [Infographic]

Everyone and their mother is going around saying they are a geek just because they feel they… well, want to be a geek. However, there are of course some requirements necessary in order to fit the profile of the modern day stereotype. I could probably go on and on about what it “takes” (for lack of a better word) to be a geek, but there actually are some things that everyone takes for granted that you should do if you are a geek. Of course, being fanatically interested in Star Wars or Star Trek (the latter is probably to be more of a nerd) is one of them. Another one is that you should be constantly coding your development for world domination. There are plenty of things that could fit the profile of a geek or a nerd, and if you are unsure, well don’t worry.

Thanks to Visual.ly, there is a way to tell if you are a geek or even a nerd. As a matter of fact, you can even check what “breed” you belong to. All you really have to do is to look at this really cool (and short) infographic, and you will be more than certain what to call yourself in the future. I laughed out loud several times when checking this, and I nodded my head in confirmation about some of the things that I thought matched my own personality.

Of course, you don’t have to be a spot on carbon copy of these requirements. Just look at it as a measurement for how much geek or nerd you have in you. Once you have read them all, please tell us what category fits you best. Are you a geek or a nerd? What do you aspire to be? Maybe you are entirely on the wrong track. This infographic could possibly send you off on the right one. Then again, who cares about titles anyway, right? But for good ole fun, what are YOU?
