Left-Handed People Have More Fun [Infographic]

It’s always a treat to see someone write or draw with their left hand. Not that it’s a freak show or anything, but it’s impressive to see and watch since my own left-hand writing is… well, let’s just say that it’s less than impressive. When you think about it, there are quite a lot of people out there that are left-handed. Well, not actually a lot of people. Apparently 15% of the American population is left-handed. That number really stands out to me since I have always thought that the number of left-handed people was way more. There are a lot of facts around this that can be collected if you just look into the data.

According to an infographic done by Pleated Jeans, left-handed people are 20% more likely to be rich than right-handed people. You could start a whole debate around that, I know! The fact is that it’s a numbers game. Since there are more people that are right-handed, the chances of being rich (whatever that means) are of course less likely when comparing them to the smaller amount of people who are left-handed.

The funny thing about this is also that left-handed people are three times more likely to become alcoholics. Not that the alcoholism is funny or anything, it’s just that if you had to choose, I am sure people would jump the riches just to avoid becoming a drunk, if you know what I mean. The trade-off of being right-handed is quite clear if you ask me and look at the statistics. Then again, these are only figures that have been put through a computer and analyzed based on their percentage of the whole population. So, all you left-handed people, you can keep being left-handed and not worry about having to switch. We are all one big happy family of right and left-handed people.
