Muppetholics Rejoice: Muppet Lego Minifig Concept Ideas

Hi. My name is Andrew, and I’m a Muppetholic. I just can’t get enough of those lovable guys. Having grown up with The Muppet Show, I used to spend entire bus rides to school reenacting scenes with my friends. As far as I’m concerned, Jim Henson was the living embodiment of pure childlike fun and innocence. Muppets don’t just make you laugh, they can teach you to love life.

Now, I may be a huge fan of Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo, Miss Piggy and the rest of the fuzzy gang, but that doesn’t mean I love every single one of their appearances. The last decade or so has been marked with some pretty abysmal Muppet projects. Muppets in Space, anyone?

But this year’s The Muppets starring Jason Segel single-handedly erased all that. The movie wasn’t just a great, hilarious story, but a rebirth for the Muppets in every sense of the word. Best of all, it means we finally get a ton of great Muppets merchandise! I can’t wait for the zillions of action figures, video games, bowling balls, knit hats, and whatever else companies will throw at us to add to the already great array of products available.

But one thing’s sorely missing. Legos. We have Batman Legos, Avengers Legos, and even Lord of the Rings Legos. If they can make a Lego Gollum, surely they can bring Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem to minifig life! If Quinn Rollins has anything to say about it, it might just happen! Under the username JediKermit, he’s created a Lego Support Page asking for fans to chime in and join him in getting a Lego Muppets line created. He even went so far as to create some custom Muppets minifigs. If they look even half as good as some of these, I’ll place my pre-orders now!
