Simple Recycling Turns Old Floppy Disks Into Retro Notepads

When it comes to recycling, we here at Bit Rebels have always had an eye out for the geeky stuff. You know, the kind of stuff that will enhance any geek’s life in a way that will make each day more epic and optimized. But geeks are not easily impressed, and to optimize their needs, you have to go beyond the scope of what is original and mainstream. That’s why I have been treading the Internet for some interesting custom projects that I believe will make your day just a little bit brighter. All of us geeks have some sort of mobile device with us on which we can take down notes, written or audio. But sometimes taking notes is a time consuming endeavor on a mobile device, and for that reason, you have to take a look at this idea about simple recycling.

If you are one of the hoarders who has a bunch of floppy disks laying around, you could possibly create this awesome floppy disk notebook to carry around wherever you go. It’s created through simple recycling that will surely give those long ago obsolete floppy disks another chance at life in the spotlight. They will serve as front and back cover of your notebook, and this simple recycling idea is sure to get you lots of attention whenever you use it.

This idea comes from Etsy user Fishstikks and uses 3.5 inch floppy disks to pull off the design. If you feel this simple recycling idea is something you would like to carry with you without having to create it yourself, you can simple buy it off of their Etsy website for the geekilicious price of $6.50. Simple recycling ideas like this are worth noticing since they will for sure make a whole lot of plastic come to good use once again and prevent it from littering our planet in landfills and whatever else people do with it. I kind of like the design as well. Very geeky and sharp. This simple recycling idea is something I would definitely want to use. Sometimes the analog way of recording things is way more satisfying than the digital.
