What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever gotten? I remember several years ago a much older friend of mine said to me, “Never take advice from anyone you wouldn’t trade places with.” Think about that one for just a minute. That was one of the most brilliant pieces of advice I’ve ever gotten. The world is full of know-it-alls, so always remember to think for yourself.
We can all remember the bad advice we’ve received over the years. I remember my mother telling me how important it was to get good grades in school. She gave me a lot of advice about that. Looking back, all those good test scores mean nothing in the real world, so I don’t think I’ll be passing on that advice to my own son.
Artist Chacho Puebla from Spain put together this project called Grandmother Tips. They are tips he wishes his grandmother had given him, but she didn’t. The person in the photographs is his great-aunt. The photographer was his sister, Lula. Aww… Chacho, your aunt looks so sweet. I wonder if she has a Twitter account. I agree with all of this advice! I’m going to forward this to anyone who asks me for social media tips.
