If you’ve never worn character hats, you aren’t alone. I haven’t either – yet. Winter hats are like shoes. Well, not exactly, but we have a chance to showcase so much personality with each hat we put on our heads, yet many people choose the same-old-same-old. I remember Richard touched on this when he wrote about some flash drives a while back. He pointed out that most people just buy the boring ones even though there are geeky, fun ones right there on the same shelf in the store. I think it’s the same way with hats. When it’s cold outside, we just grab the first knitted hat we can find, regardless of how it looks.
Let’s change it up this winter. Let’s get down with some real hat style fit for any geek. If you agree with me, these Star Wars character hats could be just what you’re looking for in hat creativity. They are plush, cozy, warm and full of personality. You can choose from Yoda, Leia, Chewbacca or a Wampa. If I had one of these, I would actually look forward to going out into the cold on those freezing winter mornings.
These are also great if you are looking for a quick costume. All you’ll need to complete the look is a head. These lovely geek creations are made available by ThinkGeek, and you can pick one up at Star Wars Plush Character Hats for between $23 and $25. That Yoda hat is m-i-n-e! Too bad they don’t make a Millennium Falcon version. It would be fun to walk around with a spaceship on my head. Oh, and I’ll take the Spock Hat with the pointy ears too. Or, you might just choose the Crocheted Vulcan Ear Warmers. There are so many character hats and different ways a geek can stay warm in the winter!
