Star Wars Meets Lord Of The Rings: Nuff Said!

We all love Star Wars, and we all love Lord of The Rings. If we didn’t, these two franchises wouldn’t be the runaway successes that they are today. They both have sword fights in them; however, in completely different time periods of course. It seems that we are mesmerized by the depth of these stories to the level where we become ultimately addicted to them. I am sure there are some thoughts of some followup Star Wars… stuff, and the Lord of The Rings of course has part two The Hobbit starting in 2012. Just as with the similarities between Harry Potter and Star Wars, there could very well be a huge list compiled of Lord of The Rings and Star Wars likenesses as well.

I would very much like artist Benjamin Collison to have a leading role in the conceptual design if they will EVER make a mashup movie between Star Wars and Lord of The Rings (like that would happen…). The stuff he comes up with is just super inspiring, and once you start looking at one of his images, you just want more and more. They are truly beautiful, and you can really see the two genres working together like they almost had always been one and the same movie.

I don’t think I would ever want to see a serious movie with these two “worlds” all bundled into one, but a clip wouldn’t be too bad I think. It would be chaos if they were ever to be ruined by the unmixable flavors of them both. Each movie franchise has its own aura, and I guess we all would like it to stay that way. However, these images certainly start a process in your brain which is hard to stop. These three images represent the very epic journey of some of the most memorable characters of these two movies series. I am sitting here hoping that Benjamin will upload more of these awesome images which I would truly have no problem in buying in bulk.
