Superheroes The Pablo Picasso Way

There are some awesome posters dedicated to superheroes out there, and we have shown you quite a bit of them. However, as with everything, there is always going to be something that comes along that beats whatever we have published before. We really work hard to find the very best in each category, and we get so many submissions that it is sometimes hard to go through them all. Writing about them is even harder because sometimes you just don’t know what to put in the text because of the simple reason that you don’t know enough about them. That usually happens when someone just submits a link and a short description.

We check out everything that is submitted to us, but time is limited, and it’s not always good timing for some articles which is when we decide to jump them and go to the next one. It’s not like there is a shortage of articles to be written or even inspiration. There is always stuff to be brought to your attention, the only question is really which ones to pick.

This particular one was a sure hit the first time I saw it. It was a give so to speak. It has everything to do with superheroes; however, in a whole different style. The style is that of Pablo Picasso, and if you thought it would be impossible to come up with superheroes in Picasso style, you are dead wrong. Mike Esparza did what most of us cannot. He pained some of the most awesome superhero posters we have ever seen. We are pretty sure this will be a well visited post since it is about art yet it incorporates superheroes. That can never be a wrong combination, right?

The genius way that these are painted, and the flawless Pablo Picasso likenesses are just out of this world. I wish these were available in regular poster prints because then I would get a set and plaster them all over the office. The geek factor is off the chart, and you really have to dig into the design of each superhero to appreciate every single little detail. They are literally riddled with them, and the more you keep looking at them, the more oddly beautiful they will become. It’s just like with the master painter Pablo Picasso himself. Brilliantly executed!
