Triport Spire: Lego Tower That Looks Like A Prop For A Sci-Fi Movie

Let’s dig into the Lego bucket once again in search of the most awesome and inspiring builds. It seems there are more and more epic builds uploaded to the Internet for our viewing pleasure, and quite frankly, sometimes we have trouble sifting through them to find the ultimate ones to present to you guys. But, don’t stop sending those builds in since we go through every single one of them. We try to determine what is epic, which isn’t very hard, but the fact that they are all so different makes it hard to pick just a few. Unfortunately, we can’t feature all of them since that would make Bit Rebels a site all about Lego. It’s the same with Star Wars. We could go on and on about it, but we try to balance it as best we know how to. Hopefully you agree that we are doing somewhat of a good job.

The particular build I am going to feature today is actually one of the most epic ones I have seen in a while. When I first saw it, I thought it reminded me of Lego, but there were a few pieces that just didn’t fit the Lego style. When I looked closer, it turned out that it was actually a Lego build that Tim Goddard, aka Rogue Bantha, put together. It’s so massive that it could actually work as a prop for a sci-fi movie any day of the week.

The detail and the space station feel of this build are just maddening. It truly incorporates everything we ever knew about sci-fi movies all into one single Lego build. It’s called the Triport Spire, and it features internal lighting powered by a single 9v battery. It also has a working elevator, which I think is one of the coolest features. Tim is one of those builders who just has an overload of ideas, and you can check out a bunch of them over at his Flickr page. If you were ever to run out of ideas with the Lego bucket in your lap, just visit his page and I am sure you will get inspired. The sky is the limit. Well, actually the universe is the limit, if you look at it in Tim Goddard’s perspective.
