Yarn Ferrari: Carefully Knitted Using 12 Miles Of Yarn

It’s easy to get mesmerized by the splendor of sports cars. I don’t think I am exaggerating when I say that pretty much every little kid at some point says to themselves that one day they will own a sports car to impress everyone. As we grow older, we start thinking that a sports car might impress the ladies; however, even though this might be true in a few occasions, for the most part, it’s a dud. The car won’t make you any cooler, your personality will. You might even be better off having a secure lifestyle with a hatchback for pickup at your disposal. That’s saying more about your responsibility than a sports car might do.

Of course though, it’s not bad thing to spoil yourself whenever you have worked hard and hit the success string of your banjo. Then you pretty much deserve it. However, don’t expect people to enjoy your success if you don’t stay humble in front of it. Lauren Porter has a different approach to sports cars that I have found to be way more healthy, and in my honest opinion, a lot more impressive. She decided that money wasn’t going to be the reason for her not to have her own sports car, so she set out on a mission. The objective was a Ferrari, and it didn’t matter how long it was going to take, she was set on it and made it her ultimate goal to get one.

The result was of course nothing you could expect even in your wildest dreams. After purchasing 12 miles of red yarn (supplied by SIRDAR), the knitting marathon began. 10 months later, the finished car was done. She was now the only owner in the world of a sparkling red yarn Ferrari. The project was really at University at Bath Spa, but the result is nonetheless stunning in pretty much every way! What would you rather take a peek at, this red yarn Ferrari or a regular working Ferrari? Well, as I think I have now proven is that it doesn’t really matter if you have a sports car or not, it’s the approach you make towards it that will prove the geekiness and coolness of your personality.
