3 Ways To Stay Optimistic Even When You Face Defeat

While trying to find our way in this world, we are constantly faced with the inevitable war of optimism and life’s purpose on the road to our dreams. It’s normal to feel defeated at times and to feel like giving up, especially if your life has taken a turn for the worse.

There are so many different things that can steal our optimism and make us believe that we are incapable of fighting. So how do we combat these stresses? How do we keep our eye on our goals and live our everyday lives, knowing that each day there will be more problems to solve, more negativity to overcome and more battles to win?

Everyone at some time or another will face defeat. What you choose to do with it though is the difference between being defeated and facing that defeat head on.

1. Surround yourself with those who lift you up

Staying around people who are positive about their future will inevitably make you feel positive as well. The people we associate with usually influence our world. If you stay with the positive people, you will receive their positive energy.

2. Learn to say NO to your negative voice

Silence your inner critic. Say no to a negative thought and yes to a positive thought. Those negative thoughts will still creep in, but if you silence them, they will quickly creep out. It is all about your attitude.

3. Ask for what you want in life

Remember, the answer is always no if you don’t have the courage to ask the question. Instead of getting discouraged when things don’t go your way, regroup, do your homework and go ASK again. Have confidence in yourself and your ideas and others will follow your lead.

Attitude is everything in life. Face things with a positive mindset and your life will end up feeling and being a whole lot better.
