5 Reasons Why Vaping Is Better Than Smoking

Smoking is bad for your health, and the ultimate health impacts of vaping are not set in stone. But, if you have to smoke, vaping is better than smoking based on current research. The reasons why you should switch to vaping from smoking are.

1. Toxic Substances Are Not Present In Nicotine

Vaping can include nicotine, depending on the cartridge used. A lot of users don’t realize that nicotine is present in vaporizer liquids. Sure, nicotine is addictive and not the best for your health, but when vaping, you don’t have to worry about:

  • Tar
  • Carbon monoxide

Since vaping doesn’t burn the nicotine, you’re able to eliminate these toxic substances, which lead to breathing and health issues. It’s not the nicotine that causes lung cancer or heart diseases; it’s the chemicals that are produced from the burning process.

2. Second-Hand Smoke Is Dangerous, Vaping Not So Much

Second-hand smoke is bad for those around you. When a person smokes a normal cigarette, the smoke that’s emitted from the cigarette is unfiltered for those around you. Passive smoking, or smoke inhaled by being around those that smoke results in 20% – 30% higher risks of developing lung cancer.

Vaping doesn’t produce this smoke, and there’s also the benefit of vaping not causing any smells.

This means that the interior of the home won’t be covered in yellow nicotine and stink of smoke after a few years of smoking indoors.

3. Clothes And Personal Items Won’t Smell

E-cigarettes are not odor producing, so you don’t have to worry about a dab pen causing your clothes to smell. The smell of cigarette smoke on clothes is off-putting, and this will also leave a smell in your car or in your home.

Vaping doesn’t produce this lasting smell that may keep people from visiting you – seriously.

Smoke permeates throughout a home and automobile. Vaping does not.

4. Vaping Doesn’t Pose The Same Fire Risks

Statistics show that 1,000 deaths and some 3,000 injuries are caused every year because of fires caused by cigarette smoke. Vaporizers don’t cause fires in the same way. Cigarettes are responsible for one-third of all fire deaths.

Vaping doesn’t involve combustible materials, so the risk of house fires, injury, and death are eliminated in the process.

5. Vaping May Help You Quit Smoking

Vaping may help you quit smoking, but there are ongoing studies on this matter. What studies are finding is that vaping is a gateway to cigarette smoking for teens and younger vapers. If a teen starts vaping, they have a much higher risk of smoking cigarettes.

But vaping has also been used as a tool to help adults stop smoking.

Studies in the United Kingdom show that 2.1 million people are using vaping to stop their cigarette habits. Vaping is a healthier alternative based off of all of the studies that are available. Vaping is also better for the environment, so there is less waste related to cigarettes and fewer pollutants entering the air.

So, if you smoke and want to transition to a healthier alternative, vaping may be a good option for you.
