7 Secrets To Making Recruiters Find You [Infographic]

Social media is a great way to get the word out about you, your skills and what you could offer a company if they recruited you. In today’s harsh job climate where people are laid off left and right, it can be hard to find the motivation and positivity to stir up some good vibes that will lead to new job offers. The path to finding a job today is much different than it was even just a few years ago, and you need to do something exceptional in order to stand out in the crowd. Some people have found that ingenuity and creativity on the Internet, and as a result found themselves in a position where they can really pick and choose what job they would like to accept. It’s not an easy task to achieve, but it’s not impossible either.

A piece of advice that I think anyone could benefit from is to actually try to put yourself in the forums where you and your skills matter. Find out where that is and start from there. If you are a programmer for example, there are plenty of online forums where you can show employers why they should pick you. Don’t focus all your energy in one place though, the more the better. If you are available and seen on several forums at the same time, you will only increase your chances of being seen and hired.

There are some things you would do good in thinking about when you are looking to position yourself where employers are desperately looking for their next mastermind employee. These “secrets” are listed in the infographic The 7 Secrets To Making Recruiters Find You, designed by Yaroslaw Kirsanov and made available by ResumUP. There are no real shockers on this list though, and it’s nothing that hasn’t been done before, but that doesn’t make them any less good.

Originality comes from creativity, and there is plenty of room for creativity in each of these 7 options. If you just think out of the box, you will find that there are so many things you can do in order to grab the attention of employers in a positive way. One way is to get really active on platforms like LinkedIn for example. Search for people who might have a use for you and your skills and start connecting. That way, you will be one of the first ones the employer thinks about when he or she is looking to hire some manpower. Finding a job doesn’t have to be hard. It’s convincing the right employer to choose you that can be the challenge. Let your creativity run wild and pick the things you feel best represent who you are, and you will find that the job offers will soon start rolling in.
