I guess I’m in a little bit of a devious mood today because writing about how to tell a good lie isn’t normally my style. This just caught my eye as something that might be fun. I mean, not fun to lie, but fun to read. As I insert my foot into my mouth even more, let me just say that this isn’t the first time we’ve written about lying on Bit Rebels.
A few years ago, Richard wrote about how to detect a lie. That article was very popular, and I suppose it’s because we all would like to know when we are being lied to. Soon after that, I wrote about how to make a homemade lie detector test because what is a home without one of those, right?
Since then, I’ve even found an iPhone app called Spot a Liar which helps to detect liars and lies by using a video analyzer tool. This is the first time though that I’ve seen a chart that offers tips to help you lie more effectively. This little chart was created by Yumi Sakugawa. For some reason, it reminds me of when George Costanza said, “Jerry, just remember, it’s not a lie if you believe it.” I put that 11 second clip below for your giggling enjoyment.
Beware: Lying is bad, and it requires that you have a very, very good memory. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
