When I was growing up (in the days before the DVR), I remember The Flintstones would come on everyday at 4pm. I would run to the television to watch it since it was always one of my favorite cartoons.
I got a big smile on my face when I saw these pictures below. This stone house in Portugal is a real life Fred Flintstone house! Built in 1974 in the Fafe Mountains of northern Portugal, this house even has a swimming pool which is; you guessed it, carved out of one of those big rocks.
Although it looks odd, it’s actually just a house that is built between four huge boulders. It even has bullet proof windows (Did they have those on the Flintstones? I don’t think so.) The residents have been forced to move since there are so many tourists that want to check this out each year. You know what I say to that? Yabba-dabba-doo! ;)
