All The Real & Ridiculous Ways The World Could End [Infographic]

Have you ever thought about all the ways the world could end? Hopefully not since it’s not exactly the most inspiring thing to think about. If you are a generally paranoid person who always worries about how the world will end, you are going to love this graphic. Personally, I don’t think the world is about to end anytime soon. If you look back through all the things that have happened in earth’s history and the history of mankind, you’ll see that we are a pretty resilient planet and species. I think it will take a lot more than a pack of zombies or a pandemic to completely wipe us out.

However, prepping is becoming more and more popular in the United States, and I do keep my own little stash of emergency supplies on hand so I’ll be able to cope with any unexpected events. After all…you never know. Futurist Mitchell Zappa at Envisioning Technology was asked about ways the world could end, and he answered by creating this comprehensive graphic below which will make you giggle a bit. According to Fast Company he said, “New developments in science and technology and their implications in society often lead to worries, usually because of lack of information. Humor is a great way of addressing these issues, as it takes out the seriousness a little.”

He covers the real and the ridiculous ways that nature, technology and mankind could wipe out the planet as we know it. Do you think any of these things are how the world could end? There will always be people who are preparing for the end of the world and spreading their fears amongst others. For some people, feeling that way comes naturally, and they succumb to those fears completely. For others, it’s all just a joke. If we could put our energy into making the world a better place instead of being worried about when the world could end, it seems like we’d be living on a much happier planet. But then again, what do I know.
