Dr. Seuss Body Painting Art Will Make You Feel Like A Child Again

For many of us, one of our fondest memories of reading and rhyming as a child is with a Dr. Seuss book. We grew up with books like The Cat in the Hat and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. And of course who could forget Green Eggs and Ham. This Dr. Seuss body painting art will take you right back to that place. What many people don’t know is that there really was a Dr. Seuss. He wasn’t a real doctor, and his real name was Theodor Seuss Geisel.

Theodor personally created every single rough draft sketch, drawing, final drawing, and finished work for every page of every Dr. Seuss book. As adults, many of us still carry fond memories of those classic books. People find ways to incorporate Dr. Seuss and his legacy into all kinds of modern day mashups. Two great examples are the mashups with Dr. Seuss and Star Wars and Dr. Seuss and Batman.

Today I’d like to share another creative way to incorporate Dr. Seuss into our modern world. It’s through some very colorful body painting art. You may already be familiar with the art of MadeULookbyLex (Lex Fleming). She is all over social media, so chances are, you’ve seen some of her work. She created this Dr. Seuss body painting art with just some paint, makeup and a few props. When you look at these pictures, you will instantly recognize them as Dr. Seuss characters.

Dr. Seuss passed away back in 1991. I can only imagine the things he would illustrate and rhyme about today if he were still alive. His books are as relevant today as they were decades ago, and I have no doubt his legacy will live on for a long time to come. Thank you for the memories Lex!
