How To Eat A Mandarin Orange Without Peeling It With Your Fingers

We have had a few articles here on Bit Rebels that have performed insanely well and some of those have been about the way we eat things. As it turns out, the way we eat Chicken Wings, Bananas and a whole lot of other things are just not the way they are supposed to be eaten. We of course know that now, but there are still more edibles that we do not yet know how to consume. This article is dedicated to the Mandarin Orange which is far easier to eat than previously thought.

If we take the banana, for example, most people peel it from where the stem is, but research has shown that monkeys peel their bananas from the other end instead, which when tried is far easier to do than to try and break the peel from the stem. When it comes to the Mandarin Orange, it is a similar solution and one that could end that peel residue underneath your fingernails. Yeah, you know what I am talking about, the annoyance of trying to get the peel off with your fingers.

By using only a knife, you simply cut the peel off at the top and bottom of the Mandarin Orange and then cut anywhere in the middle of the loop that is left. Then it is just to unfold the Mandarin Orange and start picking the contents one by one. How is that for optimization and lifehack, right?

It is ideas and solutions like these that really make our lives so much less annoying and totally reinvents the way we eat our food. There are of course plenty more foods that we eat completely wrong, but it is with these kinds of “tutorials” that we can really optimize and perfect our eating. Especially when it comes to healthy foods like the Mandarin Orange. Do you know of any other foods that we are incorrectly eating? If so, please don’t hesitate to send us an email about it at tips[at]bitrebels.com. We are sure all of the Bit Rebels visitors are eager to optimize their way of eating as well.
