I’m one of the world’s biggest cupcake fans. If this was a food blog, I’d write about cupcakes every day instead of once a week. I’ve eaten and created more cupcakes than I can count. Today I’d like to talk to you about a different part of the cupcake experience, and that is, how we eat cupcakes. More specifically, how do you eat a cupcake? If a cupcake has a lot of frosting on the top, it can be tough.
There are a few different ways to do it. We can lick the frosting off, and then eat the cake part. We can eat it with a fork and knife (lame), or we can just stuff that badboy in our mouth and take a huge bite even though it doesn’t really fit.
I’ll be the first to admit that if I’m home alone, I’m going with the third option. I pride myself on how wide I can open my mouth when an oh-so-sweet cupcake is at stake, but when I’m out in public where other people can actually see me, well, that might not be the most ladylike way to eat a cupcake. That is always an awkward situation, isn’t it? Let’s face it, there’s no way to do the stuff-in-mouth cupcake maneuver while looking cute. And, I’m sure as heck not going to pull out a fork and knife and it eat like some prima donna.
I’m happy to say that I found the solution to this quite complex problem over at Bro My God. When I saw this, it was like the sky opened up, and I got a glimpse of heaven. I will never wonder how to appropriately eat a cupcake ever again. With one slice, we can just make a cupcake sandwich. It’s easier to hold and much more manageable to eat. Why haven’t we done this all along? I may never eat a cupcake the traditional way again.
