Many of our readers are entrepreneurs and freelancers, and if that describes you, you know how important it is to keep your creative juices flowing throughout the week. We’ve probably written a dozen articles over the years about how you can stay creative, and it’s always good to get new ideas on the topic. Unfortunately, creativity doesn’t always appear on demand, so it’s important to set the stage so it can appear naturally during your workday.

Things seem to flow so much better during the day when creativity is in abundance. There are many ways to jumpstart your creative juices. Different things work for different people. For me, it’s easier knowing what not to do than what to do to tap into it. For example, I know that if I miss a night of sleep, my creativity will suffer the next day. I also know that if I allow myself to get stressed, which I’ve been doing too much lately, it zaps my creativity into non-existence.

I like these ideas because they are super simple and require almost no time to implement. If you can combine all of these into your day, you will surely feel your creative juices flowing like a river. When I look at this list, I know that I’m really good at numbers 8, 11, 13 and 18.
