I’m a very cold natured person. In the wintertime, even though I live in the south, I’m pretty much always freezing cold. If it’s below 70F (21C), I’m dressing in several layers of clothes to stay warm. There’s lots of fun stuff that happens outside when the weather gets cold, but I miss a lot of it because of the temperature. Of course there are those little hand warmers we can put in our pockets, but those don’t really offer much relief when our tootsies are freezing.
Wouldn’t it be cool to have a portable personal heater to keep us toasty warm when we are outside in the winter? Apparently designers Julia Rotenberger and Oliver Eckstein wondered this same thing because they designed a portable personal heater that looks amazing. As a matter of fact, I really want one of these! It’s called the Lumus Heater, and it’s a portable one-person heating system designed to make us very cozy and toasty warm while we are standing outside in the freezing cold.
According to Yanko Design, “it uses a built-in heating coil and integrated fan to produce a ‘heat cone’ around the user. Simply stand on the dot to activate the unit. No open flame and no CO2 production make it a great way to keep warm indoors too.” Yeah, I definitely need one of these in my life!
