Pets And Owners Look Alike: This Photography Proves It [14 Pics]

Pets and owners really do look alike many times. As silly as this sounds, I’m not making it up. I remember about 3 years ago, I wrote an article that included the research some people have done about this phenomenon. You can read that at Why Do Some People Look Like Their Dog? The question I have always wondered is…Do people choose pets that look like them, or do they morph into looking like each other over time?

I don’t think there is a definitive answer to that question as of yet, although some scientists suggest that we are drawn to animals that are a reflection of ourselves. This is my dog Mary, and I don’t think I look like her at all, but maybe I do and I just don’t know it.

After looking at this adorable photography collection below, you will without a doubt agree that some pets and owners look alike. Of course, you can tell that both the pets and owners had a little grooming to make them look a little more alike than they naturally would, but regardless, these photos truly reflect the love between pets and their people.

This ongoing photography collection is by photographer Tobias Lang. In these pictures, the pets and owners not only look alike, but they seem to be mimicking each other’s moods and personalities also, which is fascinating.

Like many projects like this, Tobias started out just taking these photographs for friends, and it grew from there into something that people all over the world want to be a part of.
