Artsy Architectural Apartment Floor Plans From TV Shows [9 Pics]

The apartments in television shows often look so real that it’s easy to forget it’s all just a television set. Of course, things aren’t always as they seem in those shows, which is probably why some of them become so popular in the first place. For example, did you know that in ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ the staircase is always the same staircase? They just redress it so it looks like they are walking up and down several flights of stairs. These are the house and apartment floor plans of famous television shows.

The apartments in the legendary show ‘Friends’ and ‘Sex and the City’ would probably not be the real apartments those girls would live in if they were in real life. I don’t know much about real estate, but I do know Manhattan. I would think that if Carrie Bradshaw was a real person living in that apartment in Manhattan in 2013, she would have to be making at least $200,000 a year (that doesn’t count having enough money for all those shoes). But, that’s the beauty of it being a television show; it’s all about the fantasy.

Apparently deviantART and Etsy user nikneuk was fascinated enough by these fictitious apartment floor plans that he decided to create each one with an artsy architectural sketch. These are fun to look at, and they really make the television shows come alive. If you would like to purchase any of these hand drawn plans (colored with pencil) which include the TV furnishings and apartment accessories, you can click over to his Etsy store.

Now the question is, which one of these house or apartment floor plans would you want to live in? I really like Sheldon and Leonard’s apartment and the view outside. The only thing is, I don’t think I’d want to live in Pasadena. Hmm…I’d choose that floor plan, but I’d want it in NYC or Miami.
