What Type Of Ingredients Do The Best Selling Neck Creams Have?

Over the counter creams, serums and lotions are quickly becoming a quick fix for getting rid of annoying aging signs like saggy skin, wrinkles, and fine lines. Many of these skin creams work effectively because they now contain a revolutionary ingredient known as retinol. This retinol is basically a derivative of Vitamin A which has become a popular cure for many aging problems on the skin. Retinol treatments are easily acquired over the counter and have been scientifically proven to work.

Retinol is a type of retinoid which is basically antioxidants derived from Vitamin A. It is popularly used in over the counter anti-aging creams, serums, and other products because retinol is milder and a less concentrated version of the Vitamin A derivative tretinoin. This retinoid is mostly used in prescription-based creams and is more powerful but not easily available over the counter. When properly applied, retinol can easily help improve skin texture and get rid of wrinkles, promote radiant skin complexion and even fight back acne.

In order for retinol to work properly, it must be applied regularly and consistently on the affected areas of the skin. This helps to improve the skin cell turnover which slows down the natural process of aging in the skin. Acne sufferers can also benefit from retinol because it effectively reduces blackheads and as well as shrink skin pores. But its main purpose is to stimulate the production of collagen inside the skin which then helps in minimizing the collagen breakdown which occurs with exposure to the sun. It creates a blockade in the skin which stops the rise of collagenase, an enzyme that damages the skin when it is exposed to the sun.

Retinol must be applied daily and is suitable for nearly all kinds of skins. However, some people report irritation or burning sensation when they apply retinol. This is simply a natural skin reaction to an ingredient that is unfamiliar to it. When you consistently apply the product containing retinol, your skin quickly develops tolerance and the burning sensation goes away. If you do not want this burning sensation no matter what, then choose a neck cream that comes with special ingredients that stop this burning sensation from occurring.

Retinol is best used in the night because sun exposure can easily break its chemical composition making it completely ineffective. Even if you have to apply it in the day, keep away from the sun.
