American Identity According To Social Media [Infographic]

Making the decision to be present on any social networking service is a big step for a lot of people. Not only does that mean you’ll engage people you have previously never met or talked to, but you will also give yourself away in a new and sometimes wide open forum where everyone will be able to criticize you for your thoughts, knowledge or whatever you might feel is your calling. However, things don’t have to be so black and white really. As a matter of fact, you are the master of your content, if we may call it that, and you can share it in whatever way you feel is appropriate. As social media grows even more popular, there is of course a lot of information that can be read from what everyone is doing.

There can be a lot of statistics derived from social media, and Hasai took the opportunity to bring us an infographic that will pretty much answer your every question when it comes to how social media summons what the American identity is and how everyone on any social media service presents him or herself. It’s interesting and quite enlightening to see all of these different statistics. Quite frankly, some of them I didn’t know, and others I had no idea there were even statistics for.

It’s apparent that Americans share an interest for social media and what it is all about, and I think that the more services will be presented to us, the more people will start using all the other services as well, even if it is just to see if it is anything they could use in their every day life. Of course, there won’t be a mass migration where everyone starts using every social networking service, but I believe that as people start to find their niche, things will start to shift quite dramatically back and forth. I take that as a good sign, and a sign that the social media and networking sphere is healthy and thriving, which will be good for all of us.
