Why Content Marketing Is At The Heart Of Online Success [Infographic]

Five years ago, if a company didn’t have a website, they weren’t taken seriously. Now it’s almost unheard of for a company not to have a website. Two years ago, if a company wasn’t in social media, they weren’t taken seriously. Now almost every company has some sort of social media presence. In 2013, if a company doesn’t produce content (which can come in many different forms), it makes it harder for them to compete and experience online success in our Internet-focused world.

If you or your company is trying to have online success in your niche, and if you are struggling to make that happen, it could be that you need a content marketing strategy. It’s really not that difficult to do, but it does take time, dedication and commitment since consistency will most likely be part of your marketing strategy.

This infographic called The Anatomy Of Content Marketing by ContentPlus will give you some useful statistics that will set you on the path for online success. It is specifically directed at how content marketing relates to sales. It’s interesting to me that 70% of consumers prefer getting to know a company via articles rather than ads. Also, 60% of consumers feel more positive about a company after reading custom content on its site.

I notice that here at Bit Rebels. We often have people email us, and they act as if they know us. That is most likely because they have read so much content on our blog that they feel the familiarity that comes from that. It’s almost a magical way to build relationships because you never know who will be affected by your content when you hit that publish button. It’s safe to say that if you want the online success you know you deserve, it’s important to develop strong content in your niche. It will most likely contribute to an increase in sales and ROI.
