If you have just started being active in social media with platforms like FaceBook or Twitter, then you might think, “Hey, it won’t last. People will tire of these sites and just move on to other things or go back to traditional media.” Yes, there is a possibility that the trend will die down, but at the moment, I do not see that happening anytime in the near future.
Social media is here to stay. So many people are still just beginning to understand and see the power of the different platforms and how they can deliver diverse messages to more people. I found a new video that truly illustrates how the internet and social media have been influencing a lot of new technologies, new gadgets, and bringing new ways to converse and interact with consumers. The video also illustrates the amount of investments that are now being plowed into social media. So if you are a brand new, and if your audience is conversing through social media, don’t you want to be part of the discussion? Would you allow your competitors to be the only ones that are communicating or reaching out to the niche you belong in? Watch the video and tell me, do you still think that social media is a fad?
