Twitter Redesign: One Of The Best Future Twitter Experiences Yet

The social networking landscape is a fierce competition, especially for the social networking services themselves. New updates, features and redesigns are rolled out on almost a daily basis, and users sometimes have a hard time keeping up. Twitter has had quite a few redesigns throughout its lifetime, but are there more things that could be improved? After having a look at what Fred Nerby created, I think maybe another Twitter redesign is in order.

I can’t say that I have seen a Twitter redesign as sophisticated and sleek as the one Fred Nerby recently presented through his Behance profile. It’s a thing of beauty, and if Twitter would someday decide to hire his expertise, I am quite sure everyone on Twitter would benefit from it. I have always thought that Twitter was one of the better and easier social networking services to instantly understand, but it sometimes lacks finesse and style. The current Twitter design and user interface of course makes sense, but the styling and customizations are quite limited.

The Twitter redesign that Fred suggests is not only sleek, but it also brings in a sense of the future as well. It’s one of those redesigns that you wish was actually already incorporated. Fred presented quite a lot of updates, fixes and refinements in his design, and it’s interesting to see how cool and refreshing every single presentation is. Actually, it’s like a whole new social networking service altogether.

If Twitter were ever to decide to do what Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn did and update their design completely, I think they should definitely choose something similar to what Fred has brought to the table. I think sooner or later it’s important to implement a new Twitter redesign in order to stay in the competition. However, knowing Twitter and how long it can sometimes take for them to make changes and implement new things, it might be a while before we see Twitter become the social networking service of the future.
